Oluwamayowa Oshidero is an entrepreneur, digital economy expert, and ecosystem builder who has spent over 10 years building businesses, technology communities, and initiatives designed to prepare people for the future.
He is the founder of Equilibrium Zone, an innovation and ecosystem-building company with a growing portfolio of ventures spanning technology, digital skills, business growth, entrepreneurship, and youth development.
His journey in technology and digital development began early. As a university student, Oluwamayowa led a Google Campus Ambassador programme, growing a university technology community that organised 12 digital literacy events in 12 months and reached over 5,000 people. He also led Ibadan Tech Jam, bringing together 500+ participants around technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship. He is also one of the few Nigerians who was invited to meet the CEO of Google on his only visit to Nigeria so far.
Today, through Equilibrium Zone and its portfolio companies—including GrowthHiveHub, a digital learning platform focused on practical AI and digital skills, and TOC Advisory, a business growth and transformation firm—Oluwamayowa works at the intersection of technology, business, education, and human potential.
Over the years, he has worked with and supported organisations and businesses across multiple sectors, including Kobo360, BBC Connected Studio UK, Emirates Holidays Nigeria, Meta-related policy projects, and the University of Lagos, alongside numerous Nigerian businesses, startups, and entrepreneurs.
Through Equilibrium Zone, he has also built and supported initiatives focused on digital literacy, entrepreneurship, innovation, scholarships, youth development, and access to opportunities in the digital economy, helping connect people to the skills, networks, and opportunities needed to thrive.
He brings a practical, firsthand perspective to this conversation, having spent years building businesses, experimenting with emerging technologies, teaching digital skills, and helping young people and organisations navigate a rapidly changing digital world.
