Marketing Director
A day in the life
Your morning starts with a review of current campaigns, customer enquiries and spending, looking for issues that need attention. You check in with sales and other colleagues to understand customer questions, upcoming priorities and any changes that affect marketing messages. In an agriculture business, this could include seasonal demand or the timing of outreach to customers and distributors. You then spend focused time on the marketing plan: reviewing customer research, comparing competitor messages or deciding which audiences and channels deserve attention. You balance strategic decisions with practical delivery, such as editing campaign copy, reviewing promotional materials or briefing an external supplier where needed. In the afternoon, you coordinate campaign tasks and deadlines with contributors. You work with sales to make sure messages are accurate and enquiries have a clear follow-up route. Depending on the plan, you may also prepare for an event or offline outreach activity. Before closing, you review results against agreed objectives and budgets, note what needs to change and confirm the next day’s priorities.
